FriendFinder Makes Money Online

FriendFinder pays!

Only a couple of days after being told that I had reached the payout level, the check from FriendFinder arrived today! All my previous earnings from other programs have been paid through PayPal, so it was nice to finally receive a real check that I could touch and hold!

What is FriendFinder?

FriendFinder is a network of dating sites that boasts nearly 20million members worldwide. If that’s true - that’s the population of a medium-sized country looking for love! They cover a variety of dating niches, ranging from the rather raunchy AdultFriendFinder to the sugar-sweet Passion. Each of these sites target a different demographic which means you’ve got a greater chance of targeting your site’s visitors.

Looking for Spanish love? They’ve got a site. Looking for single Christians? They’ve got a site. Looking for a secret…..!…..yeah, they’ve got that covered too.

They are a fully established network and provide video introductions, chat rooms, webcams, photo albums, galleries and newsletters for their members. They also provide their sites in a variety of languages which means that you can find that Spanish love and practice your Spanish at the same time. Fue flechazo!

What’s their affiliate program?

FriendFinder Network has an awesome affiliate program that pays you whenever one of your referrals joins one of their sites. There are different types of referral systems for the different sites, but one of the best is the original FriendFinder site which has the following affiliate programs:

  • Per Member Payout - Earn $2.00 for each woman and $1.00 for each man who signs up for free (they don’t pay a cent and you still get paid!).
  • Percentage Program - You receive a percentage of initial and reorder membership orders based on how many paying members you sign-up per day.
  • Per Order Payout - When one of your referrals orders any premium membership, you get $25.
  • Broker Program - When you refer other webmasters to the affiliate program, you get 10% of their earnings.

The FriendFinder Network provides numerous banners and text links to help promote all of their sites.

Any catches?

They only pay by check and not by PayPal but the checks are processed rapidly.

Their payout minimum is $50 and that is only paid once you’ve reached $50 in a single program. Therefore, while I’ve earned close to $100 across the network, I had to wait until I’d earned $50 for one site before I got paid. So pick one site and only promote that one.

How can I promote them?

That’s the tricky part! Despite the variety of sites on offer, unless you run a site that is somehow related to dating or love, it’s pretty hard to make money purely by putting their banners on your site. But there are other ways to do it. I made money with them generally through two simple methods:

  • I used to sneakily link my ‘About’ page to my AsiaFriendFinder profile. My site experienced rapid growth when it started and the ‘About’ link was one of the most clicked links on the site.
  • I used to use their chat rooms a fair bit and added a ‘Chat to me here’ link to my signature in e-mails and forums.

The best way to promote the FriendFinder Network on your site is to emphasize that initially it’s free to join. Even if people join for free, you can still get paid which makes it one of the most attractive affiliate programs available.

And apart from making money, you may just find some love!

Congratulations on your check! I would definitely join with them if they paid under Paypal. I might consider it sometime in the future though.. Anyway, have a great day, Kumiko. ;)

Hi Kumiko,
I have signed under you,
but tell me this.
Are we allowed to promote the signup ids from our profiles in social networking sites or email signatures.

Yes, FriendFinder works and pays out on time. I’ve had excellent service from them.

Well done on your check.

Mike.

gitesh dev - Welcome to the site! I don’t think they allow you to use the links in e-mail as it’s a bit too ’spammy’.

I’m not sure about social networking site..it’d be best to ask them directly.

Best of luck making money!

Hi, John Chow did a tshirt give away contest that was pretty fun. I gave him the shirts. Any interest in doing a contest on your site? If so I can send you some shirts to give away.

Derrik - Thanks for the offer. I’ve just finished a contest so I’m not looking at holding another one just now. I’ll keep you in mind when I run the next one. Thank you!

Thanks so much for the great tips, I wanted to join that affiliate program but did not know how to go about doing so. I suppose I can just write a plug type post on my blog. Do your thing girl:)
