CashQuests Gets Scammed, Angry
I should have known better.
Yesterday I wrote about how DealDotCom was ripping you off by claiming to give you a great deal on a graphics package for $10 while it was being offered elsewhere for $7. I called them a scam and wrote that you’d have to be an absolute idiot to buy anything from them. In that instance, I was 100% wrong and it was CashQuests that got scammed!
It was actually a good deal
The $7 deal came to my attention via BloggingDosh who wrote about the offer in the comments of another site. In that comment and on a post on BloggingDosh, DealDotCom was labeled as a scam that should be avoided due to the $7 deal being offered on www.marketinggraphicspro.us
A Whois lookup has since revealed that www.marketinggraphicspro.us to be owned by the creator of BloggingDosh. While unethical, I don’t see that in itself as being wrong, but how he created the deal was just evil….and not the profitable evil but the “you’re going to hell” evil.
It was an evil violation
According to the Google cache of the site, the package has actually been offered for the past week on BloggingDosh’s site for $17 - higher than what DealDotCom offered.
The creator of the graphics package has revealed that he asks resellers in the product resale agreement not to sell the package for less than $17. It was only able to be sold on DealDotCom for $10 through a special agreement with the maker and was sold on the other site for $7 by violating the resale agreement.
What did Blogging Dosh do?
As far as I can reconstruct events, BloggingDosh has been selling the product at $17 for over a week and when he saw the DealDotCom deal, he violated his resale agreement and dropped the price to $7. He then actively went out promoting his deal and labeling DealDotCom a scam as they weren’t offering the lowest possible price.
I fell for it and wrote about it.
Obviously, when DealDotCom had the $10 deal, it was the lowest possible price and it was only able to be offered for $7 after the real scammer violated his resale agreement and took advantage of DealDotCom.
BloggingDosh is dead to me
If hearing about BloggingDosh in relation to scams seems familiar, it’s because I wrote about he was stealing another blog’s feedburner counter here. While he has since removed the counter, he still claims on his ‘get reviewed’ page that he has 200+ subscribers although his actual feedburner count tells a very different story.

When I wrote about the feedburner scam, BloggingDosh replied (in a post he has since deleted) that it was to create controversy and build traffic…that’s an insult to the word ‘controversy’ and one of the most feeble excuses that I’ve ever read online.
I should have known better than to place any reliance on the writings of this pathetic individual.
BloggingDosh is no longer welcome at CashQuests, his site review has been deleted and any comments that he attempts to make on CashQuests will also be deleted. Furthermore, his MyBlogLog avatar will be blocked from the ‘Recent Readers’ widget.
In my mind - he ceases to exist.
My apologies to DealDotCom
While I still don’t believe that DealDotCom is always offering the great deals that they promise, in this instance they did offer the lowest available price online and it was completely incorrect of me to call them a scam.
My opinions were based on the information that was available to me and without access to the product resale agreement, it was impossible for me to know the true situation and that it was being violated. It was not a case of “not doing my homework” but only being able to see one side of the situation - and unfortunately it was the bullsh*t side.
It was obviously wrong in that instance for them to be labeled as a scam and I sincerely apologize to DealDotCom. I have deleted the post that labeled them a scam and will make no further posts of that nature.
UPDATE (3 Oct 07): John Chow adds more details to the scam and it has been revealed that BloggingDosh doesn’t even have a reseller license - not a violator but a *thief*!

I can never understand how certain individuals can go on living with themselves scamming other people and lying bluntly to the public. It’s unbelievable!

With their 10 year pay out plan I don’t think you’re in much danger of being proved wrong!
by Making The Money
Even if they start to pay, who are they going to pay. Do you know anyone using the toolbar or would? Not too many users left, most everyone has stopped promoting it.
by James
No worries. I do believe something else will come up that cashquests will make a big topic about. The net is full of them.

Thank you!

I still don’t buy into the whole dealdotcom principle.
If anything this demonstrates that piracy and resale of any item listed on the site will increase!

So why does DealDotCom get to sell the graphics package for $10 and no one else does? Either they are violating the resale agreement, or the creator is screwing the people who bought the copies and who are now stuck selling them for seven dollars more than someone else can. That doesn’t sound very fair to me.
Anyway, that said, I am getting really tired of the stupid games people are playing in order to make a few bucks. The price at which people will sell out is astoundingly low, it seems.

I gave DDC a special permission for a few hours only to sell at $10. The initial price was $17.
The ONLY reason for that is because Anthony Feint called DDC a rip off on John Chow’s blog, because, he said, the product was on sale on “another site” at $7.
I discovered later that Anthony Feint owns the site I refer to above.
I discovered too that Anthony Feint never purchased a reseller license.

Like I wrote above, I gave a special permission to DDC for a few hours only.
I don’t screw anybody.
To protect honest resellers, I already spent countless hours hunting resellers who don’t play by the rules. I’m now EXHAUSTED !
So definitely, I don’t screw anybody.

Not exactly what happened. The exact story is even WORSE.
- I’m the creator of MGP, and the only one who can sell resell rights for this product.
Anthony Feint never purchased a reseller license from me, until he proves me I’m wrong - I don’t have his name nor his email address in my customers list.
I asked him if he bought under a different name, or if someone else bought a reseller license for him; still no response from Anthony.
- He’s using the name of a reputable marketer, Jack Sinclair (and mine), instead of his own name, Anthony Feint, on marketinggraphicspro.us, the domain name he registered.
(Top of the sales page :
“From : The Desk of Didier Faucher and Jack Sinclair”)
So there’s now a “link between” the reputable Jack Sinclair (and myself, in a way) and this Anthony-thief-man in the mind of some people.
- He purchased a Personal License of the product (or even worse : took it in a warez site, because I know it was shared some weeks ago), and stole Jack Sinclair reseller site to use on marketinggraphicspro.us.
The proof is at the bottom of marketinggraphicspro.us sales page.
The text “Privacy Policy” links to Jack Sinclair reseller site !
(Anthony forgot to change this link to his own !)
- He still sells MGP on his site marketinggraphicspro.us, and WITHOUT having purchased a reseller license.
This Anthony Feint guy is a real THIEF !

[…] Everyone seemed to jump on the Blogging-Dosh-bashing bandwagon this week and pretty much destroy Anthony’s reputation in the process after he used some dubious tactics to make money online. I felt kind of sorry for the guy during this whole thing, but can’t help but feel that the situation could have been redeemed if he hadn’t been so stubborn about getting caught out. Read about it on Cash Quests. […]
