Convert Your Old Posts Into A Full Sales Campaign
Make money online by turning an old reviews into a sales page!
One of my favorite techniques to make money online is to find a product that I like that has an affiliate program and write an honest, comprehensive review about the benefits of the product - and promote it!
After the review is written, I’ll pass it through as a blog post to earn a small amount of affiliate income and “test the waters” to see how well it converts. I’ll also note what other information readers want to know about the product.
Then, instead of letting the blog post slip off the front page and get lost in the archives, I’ll make a few adjustments and ‘copy and paste’ the review into a sales page template. After that, it’s just a matter of buying a .info domain for a dollar and uploading the sales page to create a fully-loaded site designed to make money. Setup an AdWords campaign to drive traffic to it and you’re in business!
It’s an extra 20 minutes work after the review, but I’ve often found that the money earned from the sales page can be triple what is earned from a mere blog post.
I recently used this technique on a tech blog where I wrote a comprehensive review of a web hosting company. Instead of letting the review slip into the archives, I converted it to a sales page and it is now making enough passive income to pay for all my hosting needs for a year!

Nice idea. After most blog posts fall off the front page, people tend to forget about them. That’s why sections like “popular posts” are so important. Do you have any .info sites that you’d like to show as an example?

Hi Kumiko (can we still call you that?) I second Michael’s request for an example. I like your site for its no-holds barred, hard hitting, tell it like it is info. I would really like to get a more detail on what the end product of this process looks like.

Sounds like a good idea Kumiko! I’ve always wanted to do this (I currently have a web hosting promo code website), but I have never promoted it with AdWords or any other PPC campaigns. I guess I’m going to have to give it a try.

Same. Can you show us exactly what you did? Where’s the sales page? How is it different than a blog post?

Damn, not a half bad idea.

Excellent idea! Another question to add to those already here - where do you buy a .info domain for a dollar? Oh make that two questions - where do you host it? On my plan I can add something like 999 domains without any additional monthly fees but each domain costs $10 to buy.

GoDaddy has them for $0.99
