Evil Way To Get 50% Off DealDotCom Products
No affiliate links for DealDotCom in this post - I don’t recommend them! But I will show you how to get their products for 50% of the price that they’re selling them for!!
DealDotCom aims to sell internet marketing products at the lowest possible price so when I first heard about DealDotCom, my immediate assumption was that it was going to be selling “make money online” e-books and all of those other overpriced internet marketing tools that plague the internet and suck in the newbies. I was right.

Yet another site that uses the “$495 worth of products for just $97” tagline to sell quite useless products isn’t something that I want to be associated with!
They’re not rock bottom prices
What really surprised me about DealDotCom when I heard about it was their massive affiliate program. They offer 35% of their profits for all sales made to level-1 referrals and 15% to level-2 referrals - but how can that work? For a site that’s supposedly offering products at rock-bottom prices, it seems illogical to get so much profit to support a multi-level affiliate program.
For example, John Cow recently posted his affiliate earnings from sales of the WP Affiliate Pro on DealDotCom:

What you’ll notice is that his level-1 referrals earned him $8.05 each. As that is 35% of DealDotCom’s profit, it means that DealDotCom is getting $23 from each sale of the product. Considering that the product was priced at $49.88, that’s a 185% markup from the wholesale price in an industry where expenses are almost non-existent!! Hardly rock bottom prices!!! It’s a rip-off!
How to get products cheaper than at DealDotCom
The great thing about internet marketing products is that nearly all come with an affiliate program. WP Affiliate Pro was the second product offered on DealDotCom so I decided to check out the WP Affiliate Pro official hompage and discovered that they have an affiliate program run through Clickbank.
Check out the $72.75 commission that you can earn from selling it!

That’s right, sell it through Clickbank at the usual price of $97 and you get $72.75 - Awesome!
Here’s the trick: What you can do is join Clickbank and purchase the product through your own affiliate link. You’ll get the commission back which means that you’re getting the product for a truly rock-bottom $24.25!! Half the price of DealDotCom and cheaper than their wholesale price!!
Yeah, you can get away with it
You may be thinking that there’s no way Clickbank would let you purchase a product through your own affiliate link. WRONG! They actually explicitly state in their FAQ that it’s fine as long as you don’t use the account for the sole purpose of giving yourself discounts:
25. Can I purchase products through my own hoplink?
The short answer is yes, but ClickBank does not condone affiliates using their accounts for this sole purpose. As stated in our Accounting Policy, “ClickBank accounts cannot be used for the sole purpose of collecting rebates or otherwise extending credit to yourself or others.”
To determine whether the sole purpose is to give discounts to yourself of not, Clickbank requires that your account have sales from 5 different credit card numbers before you can receive payments. Seems like a catch, right? Wrong again…
IF YOU DO NOT THINK THAT YOU CAN GET 5 SALES OF A PRODUCT THROUGH CLICKBANK YOU SHOULD NOT BE BUYING INTERNET MARKETING PRODUCTS!!
Seriously, if you think that you can’t sell five products, what the heck are you doing wanting to buy internet marketing products in the first place? Just for fun???
If you’re going to buy the product there are others who will too!
DealDotCom doesn’t really sell out
Obviously, before you buy anything from DealDotCom you should shop around and see if you can get it cheaper through other sites. You may be worried that it will sell out in that time but let me let you in on a little secret - they’re digital downloads - it’s impossible to run out of stock!! DealDotCom could extend their offer in minutes if they wished to and I’m pretty sure we’re going to see some products repeatedly sold.
The reason DealDotCom has their ‘sold out‘ banners is to encourage you to purchase immediately without shopping around so that they can rip you off. By having ‘sorry - all gone‘ frequently posted on the site, it gives the impression that you need to get in quick and gives them a sharp sales curve.
However, taking 5 minutes to shop around before you make a purchase will definitely end up saving you money and stop you from getting ripped off like this poor man.
Update (21/9): Latest product at DealDotCom is Long Tail Traffic Secrets selling for $38.99. Join as an affiliate for the book at the official site and receive 70% commission on the $97 sale. When you buy it through your own affiliate link you’ll effectively pay just $29.10! Bargain!

This is hilarious, subscribed to the feed, I want more
This just reminds me of the Agloco big push for mad supporters, everyone had an agloco banner up. There is always something fishy, it is just too bad the math doesn’t seem to work out.
Can’t wait to read my site review from you guys.

The question you should be asking, what do you want to do? Save money online, or make money online?
by John Chow
Thanks for swinging by John. Sure, I could talk about the affiliate program and how you can use it to make money online but I think others (including yourself) have done quite a decent job at that. And sometimes saving money can be just as good as making money - especially when you can turn around and use your CB account to sell it to others and make $72 per sale!
Are you telling me that you wouldn’t have done this if you’d known about it before you bought WP Affiliate Pro?
by Cash Quests
I did know but I still brought it via DealDotCom. It’s really simple. I can buy it via Clickbank for $97 and wait 45 days for a $72 rebate or I can buy it for $49.88, write about it and make $200. Easy decision.
Now you could say I can buy it with my Clickbank account and say I got it from DealDotCom but that would be a bold face lie. In affiliate marketing, you don’t have to tell the truth but you can never lie.
You will be amazed at how many Clickbank affiliates can’t sell five items (required to get a Clickbank commission). Clickbank banks on this. If a person “off the street†signs up for a Clickbank account hoping to buy the WP Affiliate Pro for $97 in order to get back $72 commission in 45 days, chances are he will end up paying $97.
Last time I checked, $49.88 is a saving over $97.
by John Chow
Sure. I’m by no means criticizing your actions and in your situation when you can turn around and write one post about it and encourage others to buy it was definitely the right move. If you did know about it, you obviously didn’t get ripped off.
However, for those who don’t know about the CB deal or sell through landing pages (as opposed to blogs), I’m sure they’d be interested in finding out how they can get it cheaper. It’s not for everyone, but some will save money.
I’d never expect you to write about the CB deal as you’re obviously making money with the DDC affiliate program. I’ve chosen not to associate with them so I’m happy to write about the complete truth

check mate cash quests. lol.
I knew i didnt like deal dot com for a reason.

Wow, I would have never thought of doing something like that. At least I know what i’ll be doing in the future

by Malignition.com
And you’ll be amazed at how many affiliates can’t sell five items with Clickbank. Clickbank actually banks on that. Chances are, if someone “off the street” were to buy that WP Affiliate Pro for $97 with a Clickbank account, he will end up paying $97.00
by John Chow
Hmm, I looked and did not see a deal for $1 for nicheology today at clickbank. Also you failed to mention that you have to have sold products on clickbank before you can buy with your own id (in is in the policy) and only one out of the two products so far fall into your concept. You can not get easymemberpro there either. Now lets see what they have tomorrow and hopefully it will prove you wrong again

You want 50% off a $1 product??
I never said that you could get 50% off EasyMemberPro. Obviously, this method won’t work for every product - but I’d bet that many products in DDC will also be offered on CB.

Hmm. Kumiko is four people! Japanese revolution?

I never understood why you removed the comments in the first place.
I read your post about using the space to make money, but you never sold advertising in that space.
Moreover you could have still used that space and pushed the comments section further down the page.
If you had sold advertising, direct visits from RSS subscribers wanting to comment would have made your advertising more attractive, as does being able to demonstrate you have an active community.
John Chow ran a similar theme with a lot more advertising than you have without needing to disable comments.
I had thought you’d disabled them as your hosting couldn’t take the extra load, but as you have re-enabled them, that is clearly not the case, unless you upgraded your hosting??
Your reasoning on comments just did not make sense to me… you put it forward as a “business decision”… this makes no sense to me unless you were able to make a temporary cost saving on your hosting….

I see you have not jumped on the BlogRush bandwagon… would be interested to hear your thoughts on this latest pyramid style scheme.
I have a script spamming it at the moment, today I see a message saying that I and others like me are responsible for poor click through rates….
They did not mention the fact that their cheap coding got ripped to pieces within a few hours of its release, nor did they mention that you dont even need a script to game it, just the reload every FF plugin … amateurs…

I am not get any cents from it..

As the author of Long Tail Traffic Secrets, I can’t say I appreciate you telling people to buy through their own affiliate link, especially considering its against the terms of the affiliate agreement.
Although I can see your point with Clickbank, you might want to look into things a little more as my affiliate program is self-managed and therefore subject to its own terms.
No harm, no foul regardless. The terms are made very clear when someone creates their account, but I thought I’d clear that up here as well so as not to mislead your readers.
To your continued success,
