Find Money By Creating A Screenshot Of Your Site

A number of requests have been received recently asking how to create an image of an entire website page. It was previously used on Cash Quests to illustrate how 99% of readers aren’t interested in half of your site and many also asked how this can be used to make money online.

Image creation made easy

The image can be created easily by using the Pearl Crescent Page Saver extension for Firefox. The extension is easily installed and gives you option to capture an image of a website by either capturing the entire page or just the visible portion on your screen.

The image can then be saved in either .jpeg or .png format and opened in your favorite image viewer. I encountered some problems opening the image in Adobe Photoshop but it was easily solved by opening the image first in Microsoft Paint and then simply doing a “cut and paste” of the image into Photoshop.

Another issue to consider is that it captures the image at ‘actual size’ which means that if you copy an entire blog post you will end up with a very large image that may drain your system resources. I tried to capture a blog post with 200 comments on it and it almost crashed the system but smaller pages have been captured easily.

It’s the easiest way that I’ve found to “take a photo” of your site.

Money making analysis

The extension is incredibly useful for analyzing the layout of your pages and seeing it all “from a distance“.

It’s well known that the top-left corner of a site is the first to be looked at and an image of your page lets you easily see how this area looks and how it blends with the rest of the page.

As readers continue reading your site, they often read in an ‘F’ shaped pattern which means that it is a good idea to put the main focus of your pages within this shape. While it is not essential for most blog posts, if you’re designing a landing page or sales pitch, that small difference can mean thousands of dollars.

The extension lets you analyze and see the flow of your pages quickly and easily.

There’s money in space

One problem I have always found when creating sites is that there is never enough space to fit everything that you want! There are some elements of a site that are essential for ease of navigation and branding and once these are included, there is often very little space for monetization and advertising.

However, by using this extension it was easy to find where there is “open space” on a number of sites in the Cash Quests Blog Network and this has created a number of new and profitable monetization opportunities.

This is particularly evident right here on Cash Quests where I have been able to discover that shorter posts leave a large portion of space at the bottom which can (and will!) be monetized.

This space could easily be sold to an advertiser or filled with another form of profitable advertising.

One small image has probably just created thousands of dollars in future revenue!
