FREE iPod Touch Challenge Starts!

Can you really get a free iPod Touch online? Let’s find out!

If you spend any time at all on the internet, you’re likely to see hundreds of ads advertising a free iPod Touch or a free iPod Nano and if you’re like me you’ve probably dismissed them as being too good to be true.

Well, it’s time to put the ads to the test!

The iPod Touch challenge begins

I decided to sign up for a free iPod Touch and I’m prepared to follow 100% through with the process in order to find out if you really can get a free iPod Touch online.

I’m going to be tracking every e-mail and every step of the process on CashQuests.com so that you can see for yourself just how it works and whether you really can get a free iPod Touch too.Whatever requirements or steps that they throw at me - I’ll do them - and report back to you exactly what is required to get a free iPod Touch.

The steps to geting a free iPod Touch

So what the requirements?

After you enter you details on the site, you’ll be asked to register for or complete an offer presented to you. Some of these offers are free to join and some require a small payment of around $5-$10.

But just $5 for a free iPod Touch? It’s worth it in my opinion so I’ve signed up for an offer.

If you read the terms and conditions on some of the offers, you’ll notice that most of them can be canceled within 30 days. So if you sign up for something that has repeat billing - don’t forget to cancel!

Once you have completed your offer, you then need to refer a number of other people to the system. The number of people that you need to refer will vary depending on what model iPod you choose, but it’s generally under ten people.

If you have a blog or social network, you should be able to leverage them to get those referrals quickly.

Once you’ve completed these two steps - they should send the iPod Touch!

How can they afford to give you a free iPod Touch?

I’ve done some research into this and found that the promotion is run by Gratis Internet who are a large marketing company. They earn affiliate commissions when someone signs up for or registers with an offer. The commissions add up to cover the cost of the free iPod which they then send to you.

You might be wondering if they’re a legitimate company or a scam, right? Well, from my research they look pretty legitimate as they’ve been featured in Wired magazine and been covered in this television news story:

Let’s test how good they really are!

Join me in the challenge

I’m definitely prepared to spend a little time to find out once and for all whether you really can get a free iPod Touch or not! If it comes, it will definitely be worth the small amount of time it takes to register!

If you’d like to join me on the challenge, you can sign up for your free iPod Touch and come along for the ride. After you’ve signed up, contact me so that I can link to you in the next challenge update and follow your progress. I’ll also be posting photos of any iPods received via this challenge!

You know, I actually have done these offers before. My first offer was for a $500 american express gift card, then I got 3 more after that. I am currently in the process of completing my $1000 visa gift card. I’ve already sent all my info in and am now waiting for the card
They really do work, you just have to find the right companies and cancel before the trial period ends. Good luck with yours.

Sounds pretty interesting!

By any chance is this a sponsored post!??!
If so…deserves an applause…
Can be used as a case study!

by Ramanujam

It is not sponsored.

The hassle of cancelling most of the offers after I signed up keeps me away from these offers. I would rather just buy one instead of jump through all the hoops to get a free one.

However, I am curious to see your step by step journey on how it goes for you. Keep us updated.

Sorry can’t help. They won’t let me… Geo targeting…

Oh, well.! :D

I’m in! I’ll take a look at this tonight and most likely blog about it later too. I’d love an Ipod Touch so we’ll see what happens. THanks for the heads up!

Most of these tend to be scams, though some have proven to be genuine (or my friends were faking it). I haven’t really tried it yet.

By the way Kumiko, do you have to give your credit card details?

by Ruchir

Depends on the offer. I didn’t.

Kumiko - I’ve always wanted to try something like this out - but never had the guts to try it.
What offer did you signup for?

by Adnan

You actually do get them, but only after they have more than made their money back in subscriptions and people who do not meet the “cashout” requirements, as well as the people who forget to cancel their subscriptions. Some even sell your email address… so be careful.

by MIXED MARKET ARTS

I’ll happily exchange an e-mail address for an ipod touch!

There are steps to take that can make the process so much easier. I actually SELL the how-to for this but will give you a quick tip. And if you don’t believe me, you can go to my acowboyswife.com and search for visa card. I have a picture of mine:)

Buy a gift card to use and then you won’t have to worry about cancelling. Setup an email to use just for this and get a phone number with privatephone to use. Hmmmm, maybe I should write a post about this

Kumiko.. Do you know? How far do the 5+ referrals have to get? Do they just have to do the trial offer? Or do THEY have to get 5 referrals first before we see our product?

by knupNET

You referral just has to complete a trial offer.

Hello,

Gratis is a legit website, but lately it’s been shady. It takes long to give credits and ship. A better and more legit company is Transcendent Innovations. You can complete their website quickly, and they ship quicker too! http://www.yourfreeiphonenano.com is how I got my iPod Touch.
