Get Ready For The Blog Flipping Festival
Now that the Google PageRank update has occurred, it’s no surprise that a number of bloggers have decided to sell their sites and make money online. Let’s face it, even if you had lost all motivation for your blog months ago, it would have been worth sticking at it until the PageRank update in order to increase the site’s value.
What this means to me is that there are currently a number of established sites up for sale that have PR, traffic, backlinks and a proven earnings record. As many of them are also under six months old, a lot have been run by inexperienced webmasters who have under-monetized the site. This creates great potential for “buy low, sell high” opportunities.

One experienced webmaster who has decided to sell his site is Matt Jones from Blogging Fingers (who had his site reviewed here). Matt knows quite a thing or two about making money online and has managed to earn $400 per month from the blog.
Although not under-monetized, the blog appears to have great earning potential for very little effort.
If you’re new to making money online and don’t have the energy to go through the process of building and marketing a site or you’re looking for another blog to add to your network, Blogging Fingers could be just the thing for you.
How much will it go for?
I’ll be watching closely how much Blogging Fingers sells for. Over the past year, I’ve consistently seen sites sell for 10x their monthly earnings so it will interesting to see whether Matt can also do this and get a cool $4000 for his site.
Considering that he sold his last site for $1000 after just a few months, it wouldn’t surprise me at all.

It must be difficult to step into the shoes of an established blogger. I’m one of those people who reads a blog because I like the person who writes the content. If that blog is sold, it becomes a whole new blog so for me personally. After hearing this news I unsubscribed from Blogging Fingers, I wonder if anybody else will?

Danny over at http://www.blogsformoney.com is also selling his site. He dosen’t have that much revenue - so it should go for a song. He has some great content that could be fashioned into an ebook.
wait- i should go buy it!

I seriously srsly doubt it. Im sorry to say i do not see where the heck that income is coming from nor do I believe the traffic stats for a blog with 200 feedreaders.
BTW where the heck can I find a theme with 125X125 buttons on the side so I can finally sell some damn adspace.
Also whats that plugin your using to email people after they leave a comment on your blog?

i monetizing a blog about blogging is one of the hardest things to do and matt has done that. im interested in buying it but am concerned that the readers will not stick around after the sell. kumiko you should write about how to take over a site without losing readers etc.

Mubin, if you don’t believe, you are missing out.

Sorry for being skeptical Matt, its just my nature.

I have a nifty theme you can use Mubin …. and it`s pretty easy to adapt the 125`s into it. Check out the free word press theme post over at my site.

Someone out there can take advantage of the Pagerank, the subscribers and the traffic. Will they actually keep the Make Money Online subject though? Hard to say.
I’ll bet someone will buy the site, hire a cheap writer for $60 or $100 to put out an article every other day, and sit back and enjoy the cash flow.
Now, if I could only make more than $1.60 a day at my site, I’d be pleased.

That site would be great for someone not wanting to start at the bottom and work their way up.
Personally, I’m more interesting in, in the future, starting up new sites to sell instead of buying them. But yes, there is plenty of profit to be made!
