Is The Online World Safe From The Wall Street Collapse?
So the big news that’s circulating is the collapse of the major banks. The last time that this occurred, something by the name of “The Great Depression” took place. I think we all know how that all turned out, and hopefully we’ll pull out of it like we did.
The interesting question and difference about the current situation, compared to the Great Depression is where does the internet fit into all of this? When the Great Depression hit, very few people were safe from the hit to finances. Now that the world is much more connected then it was, primarily through the internet, just how would things be different?
I think the largest difference in the economy based on its past and current state, is that it’s worldwide now. With a collapse of the US economy, it’s pretty much a collapse of the world economy. But in the sense that we’re all connected, are we even heading for a collapse? Are we so connected, from investing in foreign interests, and stocks that a collapse might not even hurt like it once would?
I’d like to hear your feedback.
