Let Articles Bring You Some Sales.
A good way to drive traffic to your site and potentially make sales from said traffic is to write articles for other sites.
Where many people go wrong with this concept is they will write the article in the form of a sales pitch and include links to their site and product pages throughout it.
Guess what. People don’t want to read these things. They especially don’t want to read them when they are looking to read an insightful article.
So what’s the point to writing these articles then? It’s still to promote your site and/or product. But unfortunately, you’re going to have to give them something worth reading, and leave the promotion to your author bio at the end of the article.
It helps if you write about a topic that relates to what you are trying to promote. That way by the time they read to the end of the article, they can see what you offer and from there they may have a vested interest in it because if they are reading the article in the first place, they must have some kind of interest. And by the time they get to your bio, you have proven that you are knowledgeable in the area.
Nobody wants to read your sales pitch, though. Let them go to you instead of shoving your self-promotion in their faces.
