Make $500 In 5 Days

Want to know how to make $500 in 5 days?

Rob from Make Money Fast set himself the challenge to make $500 in 5 days online last month and managed to get quite close to his target. He fell just short of his goal but it can hardly be called a failure as he earned a cool $459.79 in the process!

Lucky for you, he also blogged about how he did it!

So how did he do it?

The majority of the income came by writing sponsored posts through PayPerPost but he also earned a lot by writing articles for other sites. He sourced these article writing jobs through DP Forums and earned around $10 for each post that he wrote.

Ten dollars per post may not seem like a lot of money to some but if you write just two of these per day, you’ll suddenly find yourself earning $600 per month. It’s not as good as passive income and you’ll certainly have to work for it but it’s definitely a better part-time job than flipping burgers in a hot kitchen.

If writing online is already your hobby, it’s also a great way to turn something you love into your business.

Start small

What I love about what Rob did is that he took lots of small income streams and turned them into something worth writing about. Lots of bloggers wouldn’t bother writing a post for $5 or $10 as they’re chasing their goal of being paid $400 to write a single review. But if that doesn’t come - they find themselves with nothing.

Rob’s challenge demonstrates that we should never forget that “a journey of a thousand miles starts with one small step.

Well done Rob!

Very cool. One thing that Rob has demonstrated is the power of just taking action. I am guilty of being a procrastinator, thinking things over too muchm over-planning etc. But he has just got on with it and made some money. He learned a lot too along the way and it’s great that he’s chosen to share the experience with others.

Way to go Rob.

Another great idea to make a post on this Kumiko. Your blog is so useful to me, because you list all these great tips on making money online.

And thanks to Rob for doing this experiment, and blogging about it :)

You find some of the most interesting things. That was pretty cool that he almost made it. I would love to make that in a month. I am still learning and I know that it is coming soon.

I tried one of his suggestions: http://www.money4banners.com/ but I’m beginning to think it’s a scam type of thing… Dunno.

They rejected my blog… with no specified reason. Weird. I guess I already made TOO much money! Total approaching $6,200 soon, I haven’t updated my sidebar yet.

Starting small actually should be followed by all people. They think that someone will hire them for a high amount of money to post on their blog. But that never happens. You have to build up your reputation and your resume, so as to speak. All the big bloggers started small, the same with cash quests. Don’t refuse to write a post just because the blogger is paying too less.

Starting small is the strategy I’m using in using guest posts to market my blog. I’m starting with guest posting on middle to small blogs. Then slowly, when I feel I’ve build my “resume” enough, I’ll try guest posting on the A List blogs…

i think its great that he’s actually working hard at his blog. i think most people don’t achieve income cause they flat-out give up within the first two weeks. its important in the beginning to post comments and be active in the forums. eat the crumbs that fall off the table of the bigguns. then after a couple of months you can establish some passive income. gotta take babysteps. great find kumiko

Nice write up on Rob btw. I have known Rob for a while now online, done a bit of business with him and I read his blog all the time. I just want to say he is a good guy and honest too. I observed him as he did this challenge and I know that he will keep up his work ethic and reach his earning goals online one day.
