make money online

$265 Per Week From Free Blogs

When it comes to sites that help you make money online, Mike’s Money Making Mission is the grand pimp-daddy of them all. You won’t find it in any Top 10 lists anywhere but there is more money making info on this site for the beginner webmaster than there is on most of the big name sites combined!

Income without expenses

Mike set out on his mission to make money online back in September 2006 and took the unique step of doing it with only free blogs and no capital outlay. While most bloggers last just three months, he’s stuck to his guns for over a year and is still doing it for free and on a blogspot blog.

What makes the site really special is that Mike has outlined his online earnings every single week for a year. He seems to have recently switched to monthly, but his weekly report category and archives are excellent resources that track and explain over 52 weeks of making money online.

He knows more than most A-listers

Mike’s Money Making Mission was about the second site that I ever read about making money online and was inspirational to what I have since achieved. What attracted me to his site was his intelligent, no-nonsense attitude and advice.

Check out this comment that he recently left on CashQuests which nails exactly how you should write content:

Linkbait is really writing about what people want to read. Not what we want them to read or think they should read. It’s about filling their need.

This week one of the posts, on one of my blogs, had over 40,000 hits followed by 23,000+ the following day.

Nothing special in what I wrote, but it was stuff that a lot of people wanted to read - at that specific time.

If there’s a need fill it.

To me, that simple “fill a need” advice is exponentially more powerful than any longwinded posts that you’ll read elsewhere about “consumer interaction” and “strategic positioning”. It’s simply, yet highly effective.

Learn from Mike

If you’re just getting started in the game, it’s worthwhile to visit his site and see how he makes money online. His tale of how he went from zero dollars to his current earnings of $265 per week ($3560 overall) is definitely a fantastic read.

Is that his fully time income?

I have been subscribing to his feed for close to 8 months now….his posts are down to earth and to the point. He was never featured in A-listers blogs or never recvd. any push from anyone…but yet he managed to reach this far…pretty darn impressive!

Well, thats a brit for ya!

What can I say but ‘thank you’.

Thank you,
Mike.

I wouldn’t say Mike knows more than most A-listers.. I don’t think so.

Me and him go way back, we actually started our blogs at around the same time (he is a little earlier) and I’ve been reading him for a while.

He’s just more a lot more candid and focuses on the practical side of things, possibly because he makes money directly from the blogs he is writing on.

A-listers build authority and reputation in order to monetize their influence. They write for an audience of sneezers on top of the general public. Hence, the emphasis on concepts and ideas.

Not taking anything way from Mike though. He has a great blog and its really worth reading.

How much time does he need a week to earn that amount?

I’ll just go over to his site and see what he says. Maybe the answer is there.

mike’s celebrity site is worth checking out too. it’s a little off the main stream which makes it kool.

Yes, it’s possible to do really well, but remain below the radar … of most bloggers on the A-list… Perhaps he can keep doing this… but it would be great if he could move on up!

:D

hmm, there is this site i came accross last week or so from dp….called http://www.jimkarter.com ….makes a cool 40k a month…wot say ?

by TheAnand

He has a nice site. The earnings are quite fantastic. Why does he remain in the free domain?

by Teejay

I can’t agree more. Recently I wrote about the collapse of Nova in Japan, I started seeing HEAPS of traffic coming through from google and technocrati links of people who were looking for that type of information.

Of course it’s difficult to find out what’s hot, but I’m sure if you have a look at a few of the social network front pages (or newspapers) you’ll find something to write about.

Great blog. i might have to agree with kumiko. i personally don’t think Alist bloggers know that much. I think they are making that much money because they started early, timing was good, and a lot of luck. Of course it takes skill but its like playing in the world series of poker. You HAVE to get lucky.

Whats most interesting is maki’s comment. doshdosh and mike’s moneymaking mission started out around the same time? WTF. Its great that mike has a great blog but why isn’t he on his own site and in the big time like maki? i actually want to read more about that if anybody knows the history of mike and maki

I have been reading Mikes blog from day 1 and its been an interesting journey to follow. I think Mike has a different concept to most and probably doesn’t want or need to be an a-lister. If you can quietly get 40K of hits on a blogspot blog in one day pretty much anonymously I think you are onto a good thing!

If Mike wanted his own domain name etc of course he could have it, but the whole concept of his site is how to make money with free blogs and hes doing it.

It’s ironic but two of my favorite blogs that I’ve read from day 1 and have learned the most from are Mike’s Money Making Mission and Dosh Dosh. I’ve written about these 2 sites as well. I like how Mike is so honest and is not afraid to experiment to find what works. It’s too bad recently he got a page rank penalty he was a 5 and totally deserves it.
