PayPerPost Makes You A Professional Blogger
It’s been called the greatest money maker available to smaller sites and after trying it out for a couple of weeks my verdict is - PayPerPost is freakin’ awesome!
The name of the program describes what it is perfectly and simply. You get paid to post on your site. If you want to become a professional blogger - PayPerPost offers the easiest and quickest path. Who’d have thought it would be possible for bloggers to make over $100 with a single post?
How does it make you money?
I found the process incredibly simple! You register your blog with PayPerPost and once your blog is approved, you are able to access a list of advertisers who are willing to pay bloggers to write about their product and/or site.
Advertisers may be seeking to create some buzz about a particular product or they may be looking for honest in-depth reviews of their site. Regardless of their intentions, the end result for the blogger is that you’ll get paid for fulfilling the advertiser’s request.
Most of the advertisers have special requirements for the posts but these are rarely difficult to achieve. For example, an advertiser may require that you include an image in your post or that you link to their site using a particular anchor text. The majority of advertisers also require a minimum number of words in the post which generally ranges from an all too easy 50 words up to a still easy 300 words.
The payment for fulfilling these requests generally starts at $5 a post and can go up to a whopping $1000 with payment through PayPal. Here’s a sample of what’s on offer:
What sets PayPerPost apart from all the other paid-to-post sites is that once an offer is posted on the site, it’s available to all who meet the requirements. You’ll never have to worry about advertisers choosing to pay another site over yours or being told “your blog has been entered into the marketplace where advertisers can choose to offer you payment“. All blogs are treated and paid equally.
What are the requirements?
In order for your blog to be accepted into the program, PayPerPost needs it to meet a few basic requirements. The ones crucial to acceptance are:
- Your blog must be at least 90 days old.
- If over 90 days old, your blog must have at least 20 entries in the past 90 days.
- No blogs with gaps over 30 days (no entries posted for 30+ days) will be accepted.
- The content of each post must be unique (paid and unpaid). You may not post the same thing on different blogs and you may not copy someone else’s post (except when specified by the advertiser).
Not incredibly difficult to be accepted, is it? Furthermore, you must also be prepared to let your readers know that you’re being paid for certain posts.
What else do you need to know?
You should be aware that some of the advertisers also require that your blog meets certain criteria. For example, your blog may need to have a certain Alexa ranking or be in a certain category.
However, there are still many advertisers that don’t require any extra criteria at all. As I write this post, there’s at least $80 in opportunities that don’t have any extra requirements at all!
Are you ready to turn pro?

Hey, nice idea with the “get paid to review my post”. I think I will take you up on it.
I have been using these guys for over a month now and I have also been using the PayU2Blog guys (they don’t pay as much). It is a great way to cover a few costs.
I did feel like it cheapened my blog a little, but you are allowed to disclose in each posting whether you are being paid or not. People know why you are doing it then and can feel free to make their own decision whether they want to read it or not.

Great. Now you’re getting wise to PPP. Looks like you’re enjoying every moment of it. Is Adsense gathering dust on your mind, now?
by Markk
The problem with PPP is that there is so much junk on there, the majority of which most bloggers would never write about. John Chow and I still make fun of Michael Kwan for writing about some UK credit card site. I think doing PPP on stuff that is related to your site’s focus is perfectly fine but writing about anything that’s out of the ordinary is a little detrimental to your blog.
Also, I really don’t like how PPP requires posts to be positive. ReviewMe is better in this way because you can express your opinion whereas PPP is just a commercial.

A helpful post. Sums up basically what PPP is all about! I’ve read great things about them from various bloggers. I’m itching to give them a try myself, but my blog isn’t 90 days old yet!

I’m really excited about PayPerPost. Sadly, my blog is only few days old so I still have sometime to wait before I can be approved.
by D. Shihab
Markk - What’s Adsense??
Ed - 100% agreed. I think there’s two ways you can go with PPP. You can choose to only write about stuff that’s relevant and keep the ‘integrity’ of your blog. Your blog will probably grow because of it and other money making opportunities MAY become available. The other option is to write about anything. Your blog will suffer but you’re quite likely to make a fair bit of $$$. Some of the really active PPP posters have made close to $10k! I don’t think they’d care if you laughed at them!
Cyberstorm and Shihab - Be patient! It’s a good chance to build a readership before you start accepting advertising. The wait will make your blog bigger and stronger!

I don’t think it will hurt here. You do a good job of keeping close to you topic.

Hi Kumiko,
Thanks for adding me to your blogroll! It is great to see how your blog grows in such a short time.
By the way, I think your post, How I achieved Over 1,500 hits in my first two weeks?, is one of the better post in your blog ever.

Hi Kumiko! Did you miss me?
Hey is there any chance that payperpost can pay me via checks? My stupid country just won’t have PayPal, I don’t know why. Either that, or PayPal won’t have us. We do have an extensive history of hackers and terrorists here
by Michael A. Setyaputra
Matt - Thanks! CHOO CHOO!
James - I’ll definitely only be doing sponsored posts that are ‘on topic’ and the sort that I’d write anyway. An occasional off-topic one may slip in if it pays enough - but this site is about making money…so that would still make it on-topic anyway?
Johnny Cash - Thanks for your kind words. That post is one of my favorites too!
Michael - Do I miss you writing nasty things in my comments to try and get a link? Hmmm….but you’re forgiven!
I’m sorry, but they only pay through PayPal, please feel free to give them my PayPal address!
