Web User Magazine Calls Me The Root Of All Evil
While many claim to be the root of all evil, there aren’t many bloggers who get nationally circulated magazines calling them the root of all evil! Until now!
Web User magazine is the UK’s best-selling internet magazine and this month’s edition describes me as being on a “soul-destroying pursuit” to rack up dollars! How right they are!

Listing me as a blog that should “Blog Off!” is actually a lot nicer than some of the e-mails that I receive from AGLOCO supporters, so I’m going to take it as a compliment!
Of course, the obvious mistake on their part is that they’ve published the old domain - I’d expect better from a “hip” internet magazine and I’ll be contacting them to give them an opportunity to correct the mistake and send me money.
So what is the first act of an ‘offically evil‘ blogger? Thanking Rhys who sent me article. My evil is only on the inside!

Weird that a really popular magazine would publish an old free-hosted blogger blog. But it’s still more traffic for you in the end!

To defend the magazine, they do look for “new” blogs, rather than old blogs. The “blog on” was “Vegan’s Lunch Box“, also held on blogspot. I think that 90% of bloggers start out on blogger then move on elsewhere.

A promotion! See you at the ‘evil meetings!’ You’ll know me because I’ll be the one with the bag of ice for the sparkling ice water

I’ll be the one running the show

I thought that John Chow is the evil one, but it’s you, Kumiko

Congrats. Bad press is better than no press.
The reason for their error is probably that print magazines often do their layouts several weeks before going to press. With web though, you’d think they’d do some last minute checking. Hmmm.

I’d take it as a compliment! I’ve been blogging for five years and short of a local radio show I’ve never had any mainstream media acknowledgment. Woe is me!

Kumiko this just makes me laugh! You are hardly the root of all evil, in fact your one of the nicest bloggers I know. I really doubt that they read very much of your blog at all. They probably looked at it superficially and saw a few of these:
Sure, you’re very blunt and straightforward, but this definitely doesn’t mean your evil. More bloggers would be wise to admit that their blog is about making money. If you’re going to put in the time, might as well make cash from it. I’m a fan, keep doing what you’re doing. I’m sure you’ll be enjoying lots of benefits from your ‘bad press’.
You freaking rock.

It is really interesting how different people relate to this. Still I enjoyed the last post is this the most popular blog in the world.

Heh .. does it really matter what they say? to me it doesn’t .. what matters is the traffic that’ll be coming cause of this article. Then, people can judge for themselves. Too bad they didn’t link to the new domain.

Are they aware that your site is under a year old?

It’s official! Princess Kumiko has replaced the original evil one (read: John Chow) as the new Root of All Evil!
Prepare to get white-washed by the free incoming traffic!

Its a shame it has your old domain on it….
So, how come you never jumped on the Agloco band wagon then… I would have thought it would be the kind of thing you would go for…. was it just the fact you dont think it will earn???
I think Agloco is a load of crap too btw… but people that say that in this sphere are a minority…. some guy commenting on JC a while back that he had spend over $1000 on Adsesne getting sign ups… think it worked out over $2 per sign up….. glad that wasnt my money….
by Jez
I wonder what JC thinks about this . . he’s gonna have to ratch the evilness now, won’t you say?
