Secret Google Admin Area Lets You Change Search Rankings
I was chatting with a moderator on a popular SEO forum last night when let me in on how to manipulate Google search rankings!
The moderator has ties to Google and told me that some of the most popular SEO gurus have been secretly using this technique for years. All it requires is typing in a special prefix before a search term to take you to an admin area where you are able to manually adjust rankings.
Naturally, I couldn’t resist trying it out and was able to push CashQuests to the top spot in Google for “make money online“:
He told me that although most Google rankings are controlled by the algorithm, Google often makes minor manual changes for competitive terms to ensure that they’re not manipulated and that only the most relevant results are returned.
Evidently there’s also a built in “fraud-detection” system in place where if a site’s ranking suddenly increases too dramatically between updates, the algorithm detects the change and notifies senior Google staff. Hence, most Google bombers are quickly caught. The moderator advised me that increasing a ranking slowly over time usually goes undetected and is how many SEO “experts” get high rankings.
It may be time for me to start an SEO business!

Forgive my scepticism, but an interface to manipulate rankings without user authentication, so that anyone can tweak rank? I don’t think so.
Use of search string to be top, I can believe.
Nice linkbait. But your screenshot doesn’t justify the claim. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence
You know what? If you use a Google Custom Search Engine, with a selected list of sites, you can also manipulate it so you seem to be top… so long as you ignore the rest of the internet and can convince users to use your CSE… which means that you need high rankings to drive users there… chicken and egg, eh?

Did you really have raised your SERPs for Make Money Online? I can’t see your site on top.

lol you don’t seem to be cracking here. You don’t expect people to believe this do you? lol btw, I’m on the front page of Google for “make money online” (ez-onlinemoney.com) so i monitor it’s results daily and cashquest hasn’t been there for the past several months and I doubt it was before then

and if you try to search for “Make money online at Cash Quests” it might shows up your site #1 at google 
Your site is on #1 at google for you only because you know your prefix, and everyone else can’t find your sie if they don’t know the exact prefix you used. To search for “make money online” I couldn’t find your site. So I don’t think this work though…

I find it fishy, I typed in make money online and you are no where to be found. I can type in cashquest and then make money online and your first, but that would be true with everyones sites…

You could have done a better job if you faked it better with Photoshop. In fact what you should of done it that way for just ‘make money online’ (without having to put in cashquest in the front) and then also taken a screen shot for searching other terms names like:
John Chow
Shoemoney
Microsoft
Google
Etc, and make look like Google was really screwed up

This was not done simply by putting “cashquests” in front of “make money online”. That would just return results to posts about this site and wouldn’t have the carlocab.com or bidvertiser results below it. Try it.

I did try it. A Google search for cashquests make money online brings up your site, and a bunch of others.
So that search term doesn’t only return info for your site.
Here’s another suggestion: do the search again, and post the screen shot without whatever you’ve got blacked out in front of “make money online” in your screen shot. If it comes up with your site, I’m happy to apologize publicly.

You page is on page three for Google rankings based on the datacenter my search results come from. Oh, and btw, “Make money Online” is an overly played search term. I’d humbly suggest you work on exploiting less competitive terms and gettin page one for them than going for an overly played term.
