The Neverending Roller Coaster Ride Of SERP and Page Rank
The old saying states, “The only constant is death and taxes”. I believe webmasters would add to that by saying that another constant is that SERP and Page Rank will always change. With Google continually changing their algorithms, it can become a chore to adapt to these changes. Primarily because Google doesn’t make it public what these changes are.

Have your started to turn red with frustration yet? Don’t worry, because along with you many other webmasters have no idea how to keep up. Sometimes we get thrown a bone about some changes. Like when Matt Cutts told us about the changes that were coming concerning no-follow links.
Many times Google has to experiment with their changes, and this can cause some short term problems. These aren’t too bad because they won’t effect the landscape too long. It’s the deep rooted algo changes that remain a mystery for quite some time. The good webmasters will figured out changes that need to be made and keep said secrets to themselves.
You should become one of these people. Be selfish with your knowledge. Letting other know about a SEO trend that works, is like letting someone else know inside information about a horse. The most people know, the less you stand to win. It might sound selfish, and that’s because it is. It’s a business, and most of business involves competition.
Believe me, you want to be on the winning end. Feel free to share your Google algo horror stories and any crazy changes your site has seen with SERP and page rank. Come on, I know you have them.
