Blogging Zoom Has Increased My Traffic

This post is about one thing and one thing only - increasing traffic.

The sad truth is that up until this point bloggers haven’t had the resources they need to get traffic. Most of the systems available are flawed so the odds are stacked heavily against small and medium sized blogs. Google’s system punishes small and new blogs, Digg bans you for submitting your own content, and Technorati has been so manipulated by the big bloggers that’s it’s been reduced to a joke!

But here’s something new

A new service has been launched that caters exclusively to bloggers and helps you in the following ways:

  • Gives you the chance to submit your content to a place where SEO professionals can help get it ranked well in Google, Yahoo, and other search engines. Many bloggers struggle to get search traffic and this system aims to help with that immensely.
  • Provides you with a place where you can share your ideas, find friends, learn to become a better blogger, and get enormous spikes of traffic to your best work.

What’s the service? I’d like to introduce you to Blogging Zoom - a tool built by bloggers to help break down the barriers between blogging and the mainstream.

When you first look at Blogging Zoom, you will notice that the homepage acts a lot like Digg. However, the service has a lot more features that benefit bloggers exclusively:

  • Bloggers are encouraged to submit their own content. Social media sites have stacked the odds in favor of sites that already have a large reader base. Blogging Zoom allows you to submit all of your content, giving it the chance to get the exposure it deserves. It doesn’t matter whether you’re TechCrunch or a one day old blog, you have the same chance to succeed in Blogging Zoom.
  • Only bloggers can submit. Within the first two hours of the launch, submitted content from sites that weren’t blogs was removed. This service’s purpose is to stack the odds in favor of blogs, and so they only accept content from blogs.

  • Blogging Zoom will help your content to rank well. The SEO team behind Blogging Zoom separates it from any other social media service. Squidoo is the only current system that does this for you, but they don’t give you the chance to hit the homepage and get a huge spike. This service combines those two factors.
  • You’re not competing against spammers. This separates Blogging Zoom from both Technorati and Google Blog Search which spammers manipulate to have their results appear in prominent locations. Blogging Zoom users moderate spam and already in the first day there have been sites reported.

Bloggers fight back

So far bloggers haven’t really been working together enough and Blogging Zoom can change that for everyone.

If you’re tired of zero traffic then you should take some action, submit some work to Blogging Zoom, and help to make it popular. They will take your content and get it ranked well in Google and other search engines.

Whether you think it will work or not - you should know that I’m already getting traffic from them!

Seriously, these guys are good at what they do. They’ve taken a good concept and implemented it nicely. BloggingZoom has an excellent chance of turning into something incredibly useful for bloggers.

Ha! Finally there’s a site whereby it allows you to submit your own content! I was pretty frustrated with Digg and the whole lot :) This is fantastic news! :D thanks for the link!

by Michael Woo

I noticed you’ve trumped up SEO benefits, but one of the first things I noticed with them was that they had nofollow’d the URLs - what good would a nofollow’d link do; or am I missing something obvious?

by Karthik

How much traffic? Can you kindly tell us?

by Ruchir

“I noticed you’ve trumped up SEO benefits,”

The benefits are not based on giving you rank, the benefit is giving you an opportunity to rank high on a keyword that normally you would have no chance let me illustrate.

Search Google: manny ramirez on jay leno

You will see we have position number 1 (Keep in mind that we are a site that has only being live for three days and we are already taking position one on searches.)

Now look at the site that the submission is on. His site is not in the first pages of Google. If he would have not submitted to Blogging Zoom he would have not had all the traffic this search string provided to him.

The nofollow is on so we are able to rank high to give you a better chance.

The strongest position of Blogging Zoom is if you are not a blog you can not have a submission and second we are the only such site you can submit your content.

Today was day 3 and we should and with over 2500 Unique Hits and over 15k Page Views. 2600 pages Indexed.

Blogging Zoom at the rate is growing should be a power house by the end of it’s first month.

“If he would have not submitted to Blogging Zoom he would have not had all the traffic this search string provided to him.”

Doesn’t that just mean that its traffic that gets sent and not SEO benefits? Sorry if I rubbed you the wrong way, that was not at all the intention, but I just wanted to clarify that the SEO steps that you’ve taken help BloggingZoom.com rank higher. Yes, like you said, that eventually converts to more traffic for us blog owners.

From what Kumiko said: “Blogging Zoom will help your content to rank well.”
Just wanted to clarify that its not our own blog that ranks better, because of getting a high value link from BloggingZoom. Its BloggingZoom that ranks better - yes, granted, it does send traffic our way ultimately.

But again, suppose a blog is already ranked for the content and the author submits his article to BloggingZoom, wouldn’t he be essentially fighting to rank better for his own content? Again, yes, you are linking to his post anyway, but pray, tell me - do you think a SERP listing converts better if linked directly to the article or via a page that gives you another link to the original article?

All that said, I strongly feel that its a great service, submitting our own articles is again a welcome change, but then again, I believe PlugIM.com lets you do that too. But I’ve never leaned towards them much since they put me off with their interface and widget! No such put-offs from BloggingZoom and I’ll also tell you that I’m about to register myself.

The bottom line is, its a great service - please don’t advertise it with the wrong factors. Tell the users they get more traffic and you also let them submit their own articles and you’ll end up being a bigger winner IMHO.

All the very best to you and your team, I hardly expected you would reply to my comment, I was addressing Kumiko tbh, so I must say I’m privileged that you did :) [erm, not to detract from Kumiko’s stature ;) ]

And sorry about the uber long comment!

I do not feel that we have misrepresented anything as a matter of fact and the post at Court’s site have dates and time we have gone in detail exactly what we do and what we are.

“But again, suppose a blog is already ranked for the content and the author submits his article to BloggingZoom, wouldn’t he be essentially fighting to rank better for his own content?”

Let’s say your Ranked #1 for Keyword Hosting Server this is on one specific post. No it would not make sense to make a submission focused on a keyword you already control you would be shooting yourself in the foot.

But then Comes “Mark” who is also targeting that Key Word you control because you are a big blog and now he uses Blogging Zoom writing a keyword focused submission for “Hosting Server” and he artificially takes his blog maybe from page 100 where he had no chance to compete with you and maybe if he wrote a well SEO submission and we do our job Mark may just bet you at placement.

Another option you have #1 “Hosting Server” on a specific post but on that same post you are on page 45 with “Dedicated Server” well now you make a submission where your teaser post is focused on “Dedicated Server” so as you can see there are many ways of looking at this.

I hope this clears any misunderstanding and we welcome you to use the service.

And thanks to Kumiko for allowing us such a great platform as http://www.cashquests.com to reach our users.

To all success!
