Top 10 Signs That You Are A Blog Addict
Taken from the original list at Making Money On The Web, here are the top 10 signs that you may be a blog addict (my comments added in pink):1. You find the cure for cancer, and you immediately write a blog about it.
Haha! I can imagine that I would too! It would probably be something like, “Hey I just found the cure for cancer! How do you think this will affect my Adsense earnings?”.
2. You check your blog status every 15 minutes.
Every 15 minutes??? That’s for the newbies….I have achieved a level of enlightenment where I’m at one with the blog. The blog is me and I am the blog! We are blog.
3. You forgot to pay your credit card bill, but you know how much you have in your Adsense account.
I write reports on my weekly Adsense earnings yet have a pile of unopened monthly credit card statements!
4. When CNN asks you who is the greatest American President, you reply, “Darren Rowse”.
Don’t agree with this one. Darren Rowse is too level-headed. He’d make a better Secretary of State. John Chow has the presidential attitude required to “rally the troops”.
5. You pray to God that your Technorati rank will rise next week.
And my PageRank and my Alexa ranking and my Google ranking…..
6. You ask your friends to join the Z-list, when they don’t even have a blog.
Even worse is when all of your friends are already on the Z-list!
7. You develop your own blog ranking algorithm based on Technorati, Alexa and Google Page rank.
Honestly a great idea! As soon as I get a PageRank, this is the first thing that I’m going to do!
8. All of your bookmarks are blogs, and you can remember at least 10 blog URLs by heart.
Guilty! I probably know more than 20 by heart.
9. You think giving back to your community means replying your messages in your MyBlogLog community.
I don’t quite understand this one. Of course it’s giving back to the community!
10. You understand all the jargons in this list, and you immediately create your own list and post it in your blog!
Addicted! Is there a Bloggers Anonymous out there?
I’ll add a few personal extras to the list too:
11. When you first meet someone, you immediately ask them if they have a blog. If yes, you ask them how much money they’re making from it.
12. When somebody calls you, you let the answering machine get it because you’re busy blogging.
13. You blog about blogging.
Any other addicts out there?

Thanks for the plug. I have followed your blog since January. It is amazing to see how you make all the right moves to become more and more popular.
By the way, I still think you should add “Having 7,000 visits in two weeks and still worry about why there is no referrals from any major search engine” to the list!

I read this on his post, I thought it was pretty funny but this:
“Don’t agree with this one. Darren Rowse is too level-headed. He’d make a better Secretary of State. John Chow has the presidential attitude required to “rally the troops”. “

If you’re a blog addict, then first know how to love blogging and keep the everlasting blogging love which should cure your addiction.
Great blog you’ve here. It would be great to have you among the UBSquare, a worldwide network of bloggers.
Since you’re using the Blogger platform it would be great to have a quick and easy way for your visitors to get in touch with you through a nice contact form. Here’s how-to.
Hope you’ll like the above goodies.

Interesting points:
1 : I would do too. In fact, I would publicize it on TV and through other media also. lol @ you Adsense earnings.
2 : Heh. I used to be guilty of this, though now sometimes I check certain aspects frequently [like comments or page loading time, etc].
3 : Haha! That’s funny. This very thing happened to me 2 days ago when I got a call from CapitalOne, lol. Well, I don’t use Adsense, but I did remember to pay all the bills related to my site. :p
4 : lol. Interesting how Darren Rowse and John Chow are being pursued by everyone these days.
5 : This is too funny. I do check my Alexa ranking more frequently than others, btw, since I have a toolbar installed in FF that shows the rating frequently. :p
6 : I saw the Z-list and didn’t join. It is an interesting list though.
7 : Oh, I would love to do that!
8 : Heh, this is something I am not guilty off, though in the past 2 months, more than 50% of my bookmarks [maybe 50.5 or so] are blogs that I bookmark to read in detail later.
9 : Giving back to the community is something completely different. I sometimes find all the “Thank you” messages on MBL coming from same people more than once in a day very annoying.
10 : lol. I still have to find out more about how different tankings work and the overall impact of the Z-list on the community.
Regarding your other points, point #13 is what I try to do daily: I try to blog about life and blogging.
Nice list!

I check my blog like umm every other page refresh of another site
